converting applewriter files

I have some old files that were written using the DOS version of Applewriter
  II.  (Prepared on an apple iie).  Someone I know would like to convert
   these files so that they can be read by an ibm compatible machine
  word processor.  Does anyone know software or a procedure for doing
  this.
