Joystick

I have a PC compatible joystick which has two switches and two
variable resistors.  As I open the box, I traced the wiring as
follow:

   t1 O---\/\/\---+		   t4 O----o o----+       
           /      |		                  |       
                  +---O t3	                  +---O t6
             /    |		            /     |       
   t2 O---\/\/\---+		   t5 O----o o----+       
           /

My question is, can I use this joystick with my IIgs, and if
the answer is yes, how do I rewire the cables?  I know there are
two joystick ports on IIgs, and I prefer to connect to the 9-pin
connector.
