Re: Connecting ImageWriter II to IBM

My setup is as follows:
Com3 -> Gender Changer -> Null Modem Cable -> IW2 Cable -> IW2
You have a DB9 plug so I would do the following:
Com1 -> DB9/DB25 cable -> gender changer -> Null Modem -> IW2 cable -> IW2
Actually, I'm not sure where the gender changer would go (before or
after the null modem), I can't visualize the male/female plug
relationships, but just put it where you need to change plug gender.

I suspect that you don't have a couple of lines in your
autoexec.bat file. I don't know if you need the first line (depends upon
your CMOS - I didn't) but try it without and then with the first line. The
second line is a must if you want to print from dos.
mode com1:96,n,8,1,e
mode lpt1=com1
The only other thing that I can think of that maybe wrong, is your
Windows print setup. Be sure that you have your printer pointing to com1
and that you have no IRQ and Address conflicts with other devices
(like a mouse, modem, etc).
If the above doesn't work email me and I'll try to help figure it
out.
