Grapple+ DIP settings

I have a Orange Micro Grappler+ I'm trying to connect to a Deskjet 500, and it
isn't doing so well.  When I try printing (from Prodos8), it prints
'NOT SELECTED' in the middle of the screen and hangs.  THe only potential 
solution I can see would be to fiddle with the DIP settings.  However, I have
no manual...the card came with the system.  Anyone care to enlighten me as to
what the DIP settings affect?  There are four switches:

		OFF    ON
		 X        1
		 	X 2
		 X	  3
		 	X 4

Any help is much appreciated.
