I just did a system check on an unaccelerated 2GS with a fully
populated 1 meg Apple Ram card and got the proverbial "System Bad"
0C000003
Is there a way to tell which Ram chip is bad from this information
or at least which set of 8. Any info or where to look would be much
appreciated. This a little toy I have hacked with which may interest
some of the more hardware oriented.
I managed to pick up a 40 meg Quantum GO drive from a person who
upgraded to an 80 meg drive. I have installed this drive under the keyboard
of a 2e->GS conversion and run it off the internal power supply interfaced
to a RamFast SCSI card. The system is self contained and works like a charm.
In fact everything seems to work just fine except I am getting the error
above if I do a system check.
I have all the details of the conversion if there is any interest.
