Re: AppleWorks v4.0??

Time to put an end to all this quibbling about what AppleWorks 4.0 is and
what it isn't.

First of all, I've seen it, and if you think it's just a bunch of recycled
TimeOuts, you're very badly mistaken. Let's take it from the top...

When Quality first set Randy Brandt up, Claris owned AppleWorks. There was
no way they were going to put out AW v3.0 themselves, so Randy got to work
on "The Mother of All Patch Disks".

In the meanwhile, QC became the publisher of AW, so everything changed. It's
not going to be a patch. It's going to be AppleWorks v4.0. Plain and simple.

Current owners of AW can update to v4.0, and that upgrade will ship on
10/1/93. For those who don't already own AW, they'll be able to get the full
package on 11/1/93. The reason for the delay is that the AW's manuals need
to be re-done. Updaters will simply get a "what's new" type of manual.

Having read the feature list in II Alive, and then having seen AW v4.0, I
can tell you that the list of features just doesn't convey just how
monumental AW 4.0 is going to be.

If you own AW, just start saving your pennies, and get it. You will not
regret it. I'm sure looking forward to getting my update sometime after
10/1/93.

Oh, but you guys on the net already knew all this, didn't you?
