I don't think the general public follows such predictable logic. The
biggest selling word processor, WordPerfect, sells for $600! And the
obvious question is why did the original, overpriced, bare-bones IBM PC
manage to outsell more interesting and less expensive machines? (Apple
IIe, Apple IIGS, Amiga 1000, Atari 520ST, etc.).
I like Ian's original phrasing.
