I might be able to help.  I converted the Empire game to Metal and am 
running it on my system.  I also have several other games on my system 
that have been either written specifically for Metal or converted from 
Acos.  Call the BBS and see...

About MOSES, use Maintenance Level 2 and "C"onfigure your system to "Use 
MOSES instead of FV XFER".  I think the system is crashing because it's 
trying to run the FV XFER and you have Moses instead.
