The Apple takeover of APDA also killed APDA, in my opinion. The entire
purpose of APDA (aside from the ability to obtain ordinarily non-available
pre-release software) was to get discounts on Apple development materials,
operating systems, and the like. When Apple took over APDA, they hiked
the prices -- sometimes _above_ retail. Ridiculous.
