Do they still exist?

Does anyone know if a company called Perlin Electronics is still in existance?
Their address was 610 Price Avenue, Goleta, California. It's possible they
might have changed their name to DMA Technology.
 
A friend has come by an old Perlin Hard Disk, and the controller card doesn't
work with ProDOS 2.x.x. He wants to know if there might be an upgrade.
 
Any info will be greatly appreciated
