Re: Syquest 44meg removables

I have been using a SyQuest for years as a second (third, fourth, fifth?) hard
drive, attached to Apple's High Speed SCSI card. The first drive I had was
faulty, but once I had a good drive, it has been great. And it is an _Excellent_
backup device!

The one thing to remember is that the removable cartridges themselves are in one
sense just like giant floppy disks. That is, they are more reliable (??) than
a floppy disk, but less reliable than a nice _sealed_ hard drive. Yes, you will
see occasional cartridges that seem to have problems, just as you will see the
odd bad floppy.

Net summary: I'm glad I've got one!
