Jack,
Your post was asking for free patches to SEG.PR for AppleWorks
Classic. As far as I know, they do not exist, however, there is a
commercial product available that will cause you to throw rocks at
your AWGS output. It is: 'SuperPatch' from Quality Computers.
Not only does it give you over 300 patches for AppleWorks 2.0 through
3.0, it also has drivers for DeskJet 500.
When you specify "P1" in the oa-O menu it results in proportional
output from the DeskJet 500 that looks identical to 300 dpi on my work
300 dpi PostScript printers. I love it!
For AWGS, GraphicWriter, and other sixteen bit programs you need to
have a font in your .../SYSTEM/FONTS/ directory that is four times
larger than the one you are printing for the best results i.e., if you
are printing Times 24 on the screen, you need Times 96 in your FONTS
dirctory. This is the best reason I know to buy WestCode's TrueType
program (and a four meg card to hold all this in memory).
Kind Regards,
