Super Serial cd: for IIe slot #3??

            IIE: CAN SUPER SERIAL PRINTER CARD OPERATE IN SLOT #3?

I have only one vacant slot in my IIe: slot #3.  Most cards state in their
manuals that they cannot be placed in slot 3.  Here is my present configu-
ration:

I want to add another card to the system.  What can be placed in slot #3?
My manual for the Super Serial card suggests slot #1 for printer and slot #2
for modem, but the manual does not ban its use in slot #3.  I know that the
software expects the printer to be in slot #1, but I can reinstruct the
software if that is the only complication.  But will the serial card function
in slot 3?  I have not yet tried it; am seeking advice first.   I dont think
that the acceleration from the ZIP chip will be a problem because slot #1,
where the card currently resides, is also speeded by the ZIP.

If no one is sure whether the serial card will work in slot 3, would I risk
damaging either the card or the motherboard if I just tried it there?
