Eric,
        You are on the right track, you just need a couple of tools.
Fortunately the tools are freeware, unfortunately the only way to get them to
you is via the mail (Chicken and Egg paradox)...

        For $1 (covers my shipping/cost of mailer/cost of disk) I'll send you
a disk with all you need on it (BinSCII, Shrinkit ect...). Assuming your
'puter is an enhanced IIe/IIc or greater
