I don't disagree with Wulf, but I think he is being a little hard on Kyan
pascal.  I have written some programs that are very useful to me.  And I
think the chr() function does work for me - at least I use it to control
the imagewriter printer through control sequences.

I did reply to your original post, Mark, but the e-mail bounced.  I don't
know why it couldn't find your host.  You are not speaking to a vacuum :)
