Ahh, bubble memory.
Bubble memory is 6 kinds of slow. It's only real use nowadays (comparing
today's bubble memory to today's DRAMs) is for military applications. They
get used in artillery computers and stuff which don't have to be the
absolute fastest and can withstand an electromagnetic pulse. You'd
be real upset if you bought a bubble memory RAM card and expect a lot of
speed. Ditto if
you used a lot of it as a hard drive. Of couse, if there was a faraway
nuclear attack, and you were within the EM pulse radius, your GS would
still keep GNO running. :)
