FAX on Apple //e?

I was wondering:

(1) Is there any software to accept faxes on an Apple //e with a FaxModem? 

(2) If there isn't, then is there some practical limitation that makes
this impossible? The kind of program I'm naively thinking of would simply 
grab the whole fax transmission off the Fax/Modem and save it to disk and then
allow you to decompress the file off-line and allow you to view it on multiple
graphics screens and let you print it out to a dot matrix printer.

(3) If there isn't such a program and there is no reason there shouldn't be
such a program, where can I get the specifications for fax compression to
possibly hack one out myself?
