SCSI Problem part2

Terry's Tech:

Thanks for the SCSI ID setting info.

I set my drive ID to 4, and the startup delay to 13 seconds. Booting from my
smartport 3.5" drive with my original Apple HighSpeed SCSI utils, I went to
low-level format and partition with four 1meg partitions. Ater the drive
whirred and lcicked for far too long, a message finally came up "IO error".

So I pulled the Pegasus out again and set the SCSI ID back to six with the
startup delay to 13 seconds. Using the Apple utils again I got the message
"Getting read errors, cannot format" so I put the whole thing back in the box
and will ship it back to Econ Technologies. Something must have happened in
transit to me from Florida or something, I hope. The drive just quit after I
turned the system off and then on again after 10 minutes or so.
