System 6.0.1, worthwhile??

With the various bug reports and compatibility problems I've seen discussed here
regarding System 6.0.1 I am having a hard time determining whether it is worth
the time, effort and/or expense to upgrade.  Since I use many of the programs
that have documented problems I am doubly leery.   Would someone mind detailing
just what 6.0.1 has that I really shouldn't pass up even if it means having to
put up with these problems?
