According to Andrew at C.V. Technologies, RamFAST have full support for
optical drives.  Dunno about Apple High-Spped/rev. C.  You probably need
drivers...

Floptical drives tracks with laser ( more accuracy which allows higher
density ), but still read/writes magnetically.
