Re: Jurassic Park
OK! I HAVE TO ASK THIS!
I was sitting here replying to the previous message and it struck me:
If YOU were stranded in Jurassic Park - how many of you would go into
the computer room and start poking fun at the computer programs, stupid
graphics ("uh.uh.uh....You didn't say the magic word!"), and generally
ignore the dinosaurs? I know of at least six or seven people who would
actually drool over the face plate of the Thinking Machine.
----->
Which brings up an entirely unrelated (well, maybe not ENTIRELY unrelated)
story:
Once upon a time, in the little town of Houston, there were these computer
programmers. One of the computer programmers decided to have a party and
he asked everyone else to come over and have a good time. Everyone came
and the party ensued. Soon though, the ladies of these fair champions
noticed that they were the only ones left at the parties.
Hearing giggling noises coming from the nearby bedroom, the ladies assumed
that the gentlemen were watching or looking at something which would not
have been viewable in public. Taking courage though, they entered the room
to find their companions gathered around a table, hunched over examining
something. Every now and then one of them would giggle.
Coming forwards, the ladies demanded to know what it was which the
gentlemen
were looking at. Sheepishly, a computer printout was handed over to them.
"We were looking at the stupid things the programmer did." was their
explanation.
Later.
