You have truetype fonts that are _NOT_ compatible with Pointless. I have a
couple of fonts that gave me the same problem before. And once I removed them
the problem wnet away. I can't recall the names of the fonts, but I am pretty
sure that are two fonts available in caltech (in apple section) that is not
compatible with pointless. (I have experienced with another two fonts not
compatible with pointless when port over from a MAC too).

I don't think that is the cause of the problem. Did you fix the problem by
having them display in plain text? BTW, which version of Pointless are you
using ?
Humm. So far I am very satisfy with Pointless. Can't live without it.
