I would recommend against using alcohol to clean print heads unless (you
do it very carefully and just on the pins ... no soaking or over use (the
alcohol can sometimes damage the thin plastic shielding inside the print
head) or you relubricate it with a light lubricant like WD40. Alcohol can
dry out the all the lubricant in a print head, and the the metal against
metal can bind or lock one of the pins! So skip the middle step of using
alcohol and just go straight to the WD40 since it works to remove the ink
and small particles.
