You didn't read the OP's post. Stop spewing buzzwords and read what he
wrote. He intends to write a FAT-supporting OS on the existing 6502
hardware.

Additionally, nobody in this era would begin a DOS project by reverse-
engineering Microsoft's DOS (and you are aware those filenames are
only correct for MS-DOS?). There are free open-source DOS clones.
