As someone has mentioned before, there was a low-cost dot-matrix
printer for sale at one time called
Gorilla Banana
The only other computer-related reference to a product named
"banana" I've seen was
The Banana Jr. 6000
the computer used by Oliver Wendell Jones in Berke Breathed's
"Bloom County" comic strip. It strongly resembled a MaggotBox
err.. MacIntosh. and it's name was abviously intended to lampoon
Apple Computer, IBM, and probably Commodore all at once.
