System 6.0.1 bugs?

I recently installed system 6.0.1 on my HD and have been plagued with 
intermittent problems.  The multi-colored snow problem has surfaced where
it was absent with plain 6.0 - by this I mean my finder windows occasionally
be filled with garbage.  Additionally, I have had EasyMount cause the finder
to crash on startup, regardless of shift-booting.

Anyone else having these problems?  

One other thing...anyone know where to find Bill Tudor's Keyboard Extender
init?  I recently swiped the extended keyboard off my parents mac and would
like to be able to use the function keys...
