There was no press release; it's just released.  Resource Central
definitely has it (you can call them at 913 469 6502), and sites licensed
to distribute System 6.0.1 will have it sometime soon, if not by the time
you read this.

It should -eventually- be on ftp.apple.com, but it's not there yet. 
(Maintaining the FTP site is not anybody's official job at Apple, so it
gets done when it gets done, and certainly not before the electronic
licensees get their hands on it.)
