Any software that crashes is by definition buggy. It should detect that there
is insufficient memory for the requested task and either inform the user that
the request is impossible under the circumstances or just shut itself down
and exit to the finder/selector etc. Crashing (ie executing BRK/random
instructions is just not on).
Multitasking managers are a problem as the managed program may crash but that
is its fault, not the manager's.
