As for previous, yep, the programs are called backup & restore.
 
Now, if this is easy to answer, so much the better!
 
Q: How does one stop a  /ram4 from being a write-protected volume?
 
I have now used Backup & Restore from Pro-Sel 8, creating a set-up that
auto-loads ProTerm into my Apple IIc ramdisk
 
The problem is now I can't make any changes (new dialing directory, new
preferences, etc) because I get the message "volume is write-protected".
