Zipchip util. question

I have a question on ZIP chip utilities:
 
1 ) The file "flipzip" is supposed to switch the chip on or off depending
  on current status. I get the msg. "the chip is dead...kaput" or
  "the chip is back on, bud"
 
        but in fact it _doesn't_ change anything. What files are needed
besides z.read and flipzip are needed in my subdirectory for the thing to
work? I don't need to "configure" , just to turn it on and off easily.
 
 Oh, are there different versions of the utilities for the 4 & the 8 mhz?
