No - I didn't look at the page size in Page Layout, but I will!  I am using
the Harmonie print driver with a DeskJet 500 printer.                  

Last night, after I posted the problem message, I did do some more       
experimenting.  When I loaded an old WP file, my page length was OK -
I could even *clear* the old file and type in a full page BUT when I
created a *new* WP file the page length was small.  I will check out the
page size in Page Layout - sounds like that is probably the problem.
