I am posting this to both comp.sys.apple2 and
comp.sys.apple2.programmer because I want input from both users and
programmers. If you follow up on this, please address your response
to the appropriate newsgroup.
I fired up Appleworks GS earlier, to see what the competition offered
:-). With the ruler turned off, I could see (on average) 9 lines of
text. Turning the ruler on decreases this. I feel that a word
processor should offer a maximum amount of space in which to create
the document. I realize that I'm running into a hardware limitation
on the GS, so I'd like to hear what other people think.
options:
- display everything in a "Prosel" type font, and show what it really
looks like in the page preview.
- display everything in the real fonts.
Plus, there's all those features everyone would like to see (e.g.
style sheets) - these are going to take up space too.
I am not, at this time, considering a text version (ala classic
Appleworks).
