Apple LaserWriter

Is anyone familiar with the Apple LaserWriter Pro630? I'm looking for
a 600+ dpi printer for our department. This printer, along with the
QMS PS 850 and the HP LaserJet 4M, are among the considerations.

The Pro630 got a good review in last December's MacUser, where it
was described as having good gray-scale and resolution capabilities
(what I'm especially interested in). I also liked the mention that it
can handle 24-pound stock.

I'd greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who uses this printer (or the 
others mentioned), or who could recommend a similar printer (i.e., one
that handles 600 dpi and has good gray-scale and resolution).
