New comp.sys.apple2 groups!
Well, the four new comp.sys.apple2 newsgroups have now been in
existence for about five days as I write this. Anyone who can't get the
new groups (csa2.comm, csa2.marketplace, csa2.programmer, csa2.usergroups)
at their site should bug their sysadmin to carry it. :) We're already
getting a lot of messages in csa2.mp and I expect csa2.prog to pick up
very soon too.
To get things rolling, I would encourage everyone to make an extra
effort to post in the correct newsgroup, or follow-up to the correct
newsgroup if someone posts in the wrong one to begin with. Since not
everyone is receiving the new groups yet, you might want to cross-post
(at least for now) between csa2 and the subgroup.
NO FLAMES on any of the csa2 subgroups!!! If you can't contain it
in csa2, take it to e-mail. Rational, mature discussion is fine. I
don't care how much you hate the other person or how many people hate
the person, NO FLAMES! Hope that's clear.
There are also two things that need to be discussed in detail on
each of the four groups: mailing lists (so info-apple and apple2-l
readers don't miss out on the action) and compiling a FAQ. I believe
Doug Granzow has accepted the task of compiling a csa2.comm FAQ (since
he ran the a2-bbs list before). Any nominations for FAQ keepers for the
other groups? Please post follow-ups to the correct newsgroup, thanks.
