You mentioned kits: Here's what Steve sent... I wished in a way I had jumped-on that jtag stuff that you guys went after... just spread too thin at the moment timewise... maybe someday.
I missed out on the JTAG programmer. I didn't see Alex's post until the next morning before work. Went right to eBay and they were all gone :-(.
Fortunately, I have one of the famous $12 parallel cables. Actually had to go out and buy a PCI parallel port card in order to use it. Not many motherboards come with parallel ports on them anymore!
