Hi,

I am the soon to be proud owner of a new (old) Apple //e. The machine
is coming without a floppy drive, but I have a UniDisk 5.25 drive
already (without the Apple 5.25 drive controller card) that I've been
using on my IIe card for my Mac LC 475.

From the googling I've done, it would seem that the UniDisk is
electrically the same as the Disk II, but I havent come across any
posts talking about anyone who's ever made a Disk II controller to
UniDisk 5.25 drive adaptor - is this even possible?

Absolutely! It's just a matter of matching the two pinouts.
A couple of companies made adapters in the 1980s.

However, you may find it even easier to acquire a disk controller
with a 19-pin connector--they tend to be plentiful and inexpensive.
