I agree

all of my mics are XLR

I think the card should be XLR

or balanced with 1/4 that will work balanced or unbalanced

balanced for XLR with no noise

or unbalanced with cpu noise for cheap setups

1/4 and XLR are the industrial standards

good mikes are XLR and if I use a balanced to unbalanced

converter the unbalanced side is 1/4

only toys are 1/8 any half quality mic will use 1/4

and any quality or real mic will use the XLR balanced system

to pervent any noise like the cpu noise you hear out of the gs

by balanced it any pluse will be on both sides and will cancel out

unbalanced you only have one side so a pluse will be heard
