Waffle GS???

I remember someone mentioned the possiblility of porting Waffle to the 
GS. I just want to know the status of this. I'm getting more interested 
in something like this in light that the sysop of this system is planning 
to make ersys a little more efficient by having the users having an 
offline mailreader or running Waffle. Since I don't know of anything 
other than the proposed project above I wanted to get all possible option 
on the table. Of course the last thing I want to do is to buy a PC.
