That is understandable, because it all depends upon who's bidding/
watching on the day(s) of the auction. One day something may attract
an unbelievably high price, yet another day may attract a very low
price. It can be very erratic.
With something like the Mark Twain, I think I would be hesitant about
eBay as well, unless you put a "reserve price" or "buy it now" price
on it that you would be willing to let it go for... I think I'd still
prefer to sell something like that privately though.
