Antonie,
You are correct sir - in fact, if you look closely, 'Colouring for the
IIgs' can use either SeedFill or my own floodfill routine. There is an
option in the configuration file to turn on Seedfill use. The reason
why I don't use Seedfill by default is this - when you click to fill
an area with Seedfill, the computer sits there 'thinking' for about 10
seconds or so, and then "Hey Presto!" the area is filled. Having
tested both routines with kids (and thats who I'm trying to target my
program at ;-) ), they seemed much happier being able to see the
floodfill as it happens.
I have done some work on a prototype floodfill routine that gets rid
of the dependence of Quickdraw as Quickdraw is sloooooow.
Unfortunately, other projects have taken precedence at this point.
I'm just glad that one of the multitude of IIgs programmers had the
time to check out my source code. Now if only I can lure someone new
to start coding on the IIgs... ;-)
Cheers,
Mike
