Some 1.2MB drives won't work with 360k media.  Make sure you match them 
up.

Can you read the disks at all?  If not, then you might need to clean the 
heads on the drive.  With older disks, you might need to do this quite 
often.  If you can read them, copy them to the hard disk or use a disk 
image program to make an image of them.  (I haven't made disk images in 
years, so I don't have a program to recommend.)
