you'll probably have to either build the cable, or use a combination of a
gs modem cable, a gender changer, and a null modem adapter. i've got a
single cable that can connect an IW2 to a pc, but i remember when i bought
it, it was sold as an amiga 500 to IW2 cable, and i've never seen another
one.

put this with the gender changer (and maybe the null modem) and you've got
a cable that will get you up and running, if a db9 connector is what you
have on the laptop.

i'd also suggest writing a small batch file, with the following lines:
MODE COM1:9600,N,8,1,P
MODE LPT1:=COM1:

this will set up the ports so that output is redirected from the parallel
port to the serial port, and let the serial port know what speed to use,
and that a printer is connected. you can either do this at startup, or
whenever you anticipate needing to print.
