question: booting from 2nd partition on my HD

Hi.
 
I've got a CMS SC40 on my IIe.  I've got the drive split into two 19meg
drives.  I'd like to format the second with Pascal.  But how can I boot 
that drive, instead of having it boot from the first drive?  Do I have to 
boot a floppy, then switch to the the Pascal volume?
