I'm not sure, since I've never run DOS 5 on an XT. As a rough guess,
I'd say something in the region of 10k of RAM.

Lots of new options for built-in and disk-based commands, such as
sorting options for DIR; includes disk caching software; has a "quick
format" option and undelete/unformat support; much better version of
BASIC included; much better editor, etc.

... which I prefer to call "Dos Hell". A major waste of time and
memory, if you are happy enough using the command line. Its switching
feature may come in handy on some machines, but would be slow enough
to be unbearable on the PC Transporter.
