If it is true that Apple will not upgrade GS/OS beyond System 6.01,  I like
the idea of liscensing control over the OS out to reputable entities  (e.g.
Procyon).  IMO, such entities should have a proven expertise with OS's in
general and GS/OS in particular, and the lisence should be for a specific
short period of time (e.g. 1 year).  That way, if that group ceased to
exist, Apple could transfer the OS responsibilities to another group.

We definitely need to have the OS controlled by a single entity, or we'll
have fifty incompatible versions of GS/OS floating around.

BTW, how do you spell "license" -- it's gotta be one of these three ways.
