But then you run into the can't-run-emulation-code-from-nonzero-banks-with-
interrupts-enabled problem. You have to run emulation mode to work with ROM
device drivers of course.
I don't have a problem with the status quo myself. Use native mode programs to
work with forked files and leave them be when running 8 bit software. The only
real problem is when you want to use files written on a ProDOS volume by a Mac
using the ProDOS extension on an 8 bit machine. Then you're in a bit of a bind
because the files are forked typeless files.
