"Ridden [sic] with faults?"  I've had a DuoDisk for almost eight years
and have never had a problem.  It came with my IIe, which has since
been upgraded to a IIGS (the DuoDisk is currently daisy-chained to a
3.5" floppy drive, which is plugged into the GS's disk port).
