Nah.  An emphatically good idea.

Having a resources and a reasonably decent resource editor (I don't
know that one exists for the GS) is pretty handy.  Unless you prefer
    a) hard coding things like menus and dialogs into your applications by
       hand
    b) compiler-specific utilities that generate the source for you and
       are useless if you upgrade or switch development tools.

Resources may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but I'll take
them over the alternatives above.
