Yes, very nice indeed, Thye Chean. Nice work! I have a few
suggestions for future versions:
Adjustable zoom factor (2x, 3x, 4x, etc.). This will let me tailor
the size of the image (since it is always full screen, not in a
resizable window) as well as zooming in quickly (i.e.: I pick a zoom
factor of 20x).
Memorizing coordinates. If I find a particularly nice picture, I
would like to know its location so I can use it again later. Then add a
"direct zoom" function to Mandelbrot II where I can enter a set of
coordinates and it will immediately begin drawing that screen.
Instant zoom. Let's say I find a nice picture, but I don't have
time to explore any deeper. I would like to reload the picture at a
later date, supply the coordinates to Mandelbrot II and start zooming in
from there. This is just like the "instant first screen", except for
any arbritrary location on the fractal. Of course, the picture may not
match the coordinates, but there's no way you can prevent that. Loading
in a saved screen just serves as a template for more accurate zooming
(again, just like the "instant first screen").
Back up a level. Sometimes I find I didn't quite zoom in on the
right part of the fractal. This feature will redisplay the last screen
from memory and allow you to pick another zoom.
Ever think of turning this into a Twilight II module (if there isn't
one already)? :)
