HELP! //C NEEDS A CHIP!!

I recently tried a little experament in linking up some radio equipment
to my Apple //c.  Althought the wiring was correct, my coordination was
not, and as a result, I slipped whilst hooking up a wire, and, well...
my //c's joystick's horizontal input is *FRIED*.  Total bummer.  I have
tried replacing the opto-isolator that is connected to this, but that is
not the problem chip.  It seems to be the IOU chip. (one of the three
big ugly 40 or so pin chips, same look as the MMU and 65c02)

Looks like I need one of these chips.  It also seems to have given me a
teeny glitch in memory, and ProDOS will crash on rare occasions. (Yes,
for me that is rare, although I know a few people for which it is not)

If anyone has a dead //c, (victom of lightning, fire, front right car
tire, etc,) and has that chip intact, I would like to talk to you.
I'd get the number off it right now if my memory board did not obscure
my vision.  It's the chip farthest to the rear of the computer.  It's
even in a socket!  Now, with that in mindd, you'd think my Apple dealer
would have a chip to sell me.  Nope!  They want to sell me the WHOLE
#$!@! MOTHERBOARD!!  Told them they can keep their motherboard and
also informed them just where to keep it.  They would not so much
as give me the number off the chip.  They didn't know.  They call
themselves technitians!  Anyway, any ideas or hints or directions to
find that blessed chip would really be appreciated.  I'm kinda lost
without the full use of my computer!
